TROY- Bruce R. Wenger, 75, of Berrytown, PA entered into God's eternal care from a farm accident on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the family farm. He was the loving husband of Anna Mae (Ludwig) Wenger. The couple married April 6, 1956 and were just short of 55 happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to call from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Fellowship Bible Church, 121 Mud Creek Rd. Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Bruce’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 10th at the church with Rev. Andrew Phillips officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of Bruce’s family at Checkerville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA. Bruce was born on March 9, 1936 in Lebanon, PA, son of the late Joseph and Sara (Funk) Wenger. Bruce’s true passion in life was farming. In his younger years he was a herdsman near Westminster, MD. In 1969 he moved his family to Shartlesville, PA where he worked for Suburban Propane and had a farrowing hog operation. In 1984, the family moved to Berrytown, PA where he pursued his life long dream to own a dairy farm. Bruce was awarded 'Top Milk Producer in the Nation' by DHIA in 1989. He was an avid reader and loved world history. Bruce enjoyed hunting with his brothers and family, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Bruce lived his faith in God through service to his family and community and found great joy in the simplicity of life. Bruce is survived by his loving wife Anna Mae, his children Robert Wenger of Berrytown, PA, Joyce (James) Skeet of Gallup, NM, Kathy (Ken Sr.) Blow of Towanda, PA, Scott (Kimberly) Wenger of Denver, CO, and Kay Wenger and husband Ken Polakowski of Berrytown, PA, his grandchildren Kenny Blow, Jr., Malcom and Martin Skeet, Elizabeth, Madalyn and Luke Wenger, Krystal, Katherine, and Anthony Polakowski, his brothers Harvey, Robert, Walter, and Kenneth Russell Wenger, along with several nieces and nephews. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter Rebecca Blow, his sisters Dorothy Heagy and Franey Spang, and his brother H. Daniel Wenger.
