Bruce R. Martin

RED LION-Bruce R. Martin, 66, died Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at his residence. He was the loving husband of Joanna S. (Sovern) Martin to whom he was married 46 years. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2009 at ValleyView Alliance Church, 200 Alliance Avenue, Hellam, PA, 17406, with the Rev. Donald J. Pullen officiating. A viewing will be held 10-11:00 a.m. Friday at the Church. Burial will follow in Dallastown Union Cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Martin was born, November 25, 1942, in Queens, NY, the son of the late Richard and Angela (Tedesco) Martin. Along with his wife, he owned and operated Lake Motel in Lake George, NY, for 25 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dallastown. Mr. Martin served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed rebuilding computers, and was an avid pilot, with over 30 years of experience. In addition to his wife, Mr. Martin is survived by a daughter, Katherine M. Gimenez and husband, Michael of Live Oak, FL; three granddaughters, Lori Marin and husband, Edwin of Orlando, FL, and Christina and Brittany Gimenez, both of Live Oak, FL.
