Bruce A. Weirich

Wrightsville—Bruce A. Weirich, 67, died Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Connie L. (Smith) Weirich to whom he was married for 41 years. A tribute service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, October 12, 2007 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, with the Rev. Larry Billet officiating. A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m., Friday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at the convenience of family. Mr. Weirich was born March 27, 1940 in Cly Crossroads, a son of the late Leroy Weirich and Edith N. (Toomey) Weirich-Sweitzer. He was employed with P. H. Gladfelter in Spring Grove, as a fork-lift operator for 24 years until his retirement in 2002. A member of Local 1303 of the United Paperworkers International Union, he was also a member of Spring Grove's V.F.W. and an avid sprint and NASCAR fan. In addition to his wife, Mr. Weirich is also survived by two sons, Dana L. Morrison and his wife Kelly of York and Randy A. Weirich and his wife Anna of Wrightsville, one daughter, Justine E. Sudia and her husband Lee of Fayetteville, NC, seven grandchildren, Ashley and Katelyn Morrison, Samantha, Savanna and Neil Grim, Randi Weirich and Frankie Sudia, two brothers, Barry Sweitzer and his wife Linda of Dover and Terry Sweitzer of Mt. Wolf and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Ruthann Richcreek.
