SEVEN VALLEYS- Brooks L. Sanborn, 50, passed away suddenly, while drinking his morning cup of coffee, on his deck, August 25th, 2024. 

 Brooks was born in Bangor, Maine; son of Bruce and Freda (Hicks)Sanborn. 

 Brooks is survived by his wife, Michelle (Ludwig) Sanborn and children, Cambria and Kai Sanborn; a brother, Blaine (Jenna) Sanborn of Stow, MA; a sister, Heidi Sanborn of Brewer, ME; mother-in-law, Donna Ludwig, sister-in-law, Anissa (Ben) Keesey both of Red Lion, PA; sister-in-law, Danielle (Tyler)Woo of Sedona AZ; nieces and nephews. 

 He is predeceased by his father, Bruce Sanborn; cousin, Reid Barton; significant other of Freda, Richard Smith; father-in-law, Craig Ludwig 

 After graduating from Dexter High School, Brooks attended the University of Maine.

He took a break to pursue his love of the outdoors, working for Northern Outdoors, as a guide and managing operations. He met Michelle while they worked together there. 

 In time, he returned to school and received an associate’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology at Southern Maine Community College. After working for a local hospital, he was recruited and worked for Abbott (formerly St. Jude Medical) Cardiac Rhythm Management and Abbott Electrophysiology for over 16 years, in clinical and sales roles. 

 Early memories for Brooks include time working with his family on his Grandparent’s and Uncle’s Dairy Farm. He developed a work ethic and outlook that would shape and influence him in the years to come.

 Brooks had a calming and quiet presence. He worked hard, loved and served his family with passion and sought respite outdoors and away from the distractions of life. There are not words for the pain we feel with his loss.

 An Outdoor Celebration of Life Tribute will begin at 11:00AM, Saturday, September 7th at the Ludwig’s Farm Property, 9745 Chapel Church Rd, Red Lion, Pa 17356. Officiating the service will be Pastor Aaron Kunce. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. His body was laid to rest in Maine, services coordinated by Brookings – Smith Funeral Home, 133 Center Street, Bangor, ME 04401 and officiated by Connie Milchling.

 In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Olivia’s House York, 830 S. George Street, York, Pa 17403.
