Brian V. Barr

RENOVO - Brian V. Barr, 57, passed away, Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Renovo on October 10, 1957 to Elwood F. and Elizabeth (Potts) Barr. Brian was married to the former Donna D. Stevenson on July 24, 1994. They celebrated 20 years of marriage together. He worked for HRI, State College as a truck driver. Brian enjoyed fishing and was raised in Levittown where he graduated from Bishop Eagan High School in 1975. He was a member of the Eagles, Elks, and the American Legion all of Renovo. Brian attended St. Joseph’s Church. Surviving are his mother of Renovo and his wife Donna also a son Sean M. Barr of Renovo and a daughter Aubrey Shady-Zavala of Spring Lake, NC. Two sisters Nancy Keiper of Renovo and Judy Ann Barr of Philadelphia also several nieces and nephews. His father preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo with the Rev. Charles Ugo officiating. Friends and relatives will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner.
