Brian R. Migliarini

YORK-Brian R. Migliarini- 64, of Spring Garden Township, died Saturday, August 16, 2014 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Cheryl (Selbert) Migliarini. The couple celebrated their 37th Wedding Anniversary on July 23, 2014. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 2-3 p.m. Brian was born in Baltimore on December 20, 1949, the son of the late George and Rose (Sebastian) Migliarini. He retired in 2002 after 33 years of service for Baltimore County Public Schools. Brian was a graduate of Towson University, where he received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees. He was a Physics teacher and chairman of the science department of Hereford High School, where he was also a cross country, indoor track, and spring track coach. He was a life member of National Education Association. He was a member of Regents’ Glen Golf Club and President of the Board of Sycamore Grove Condominium Association. He was an avid wood worker and was keenly interested in building cabinets and furniture. He was an avid golfer, biker, and distance runner. He ran the Boston Marathon along with a few other marathons. Along with his wife, Brian leaves two sisters, Patricia Schenk of Parkton, MD and Louise Zajdel of Fallston, MD; two nephews, a niece and his mother-in-law, Esther Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
