Brian Joseph Kelley

HANOVER TOWNSHIP-Brian Joseph Kelley, 42, of Hanover Township passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Born in Wilkes-Bare on May 14, 1969, he was a son of William and Mary Ann (Boback) Kelley of Hanover Township. He was a 1987 graduate of Hanover Area High School. Brian was an avid Oakland Raiders and New York Yankees fan. He loved fishing, watching lighting storms and all animals including the neighborhood bear. He was always willing to assist family members, whether it was something little like taking out the trash or cutting his sister’s lawn to puppy sitting for his parent’s and sister’s dogs. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Julia “Baba” Boback; paternal grandparents William H. and Edna Mae “Pizza Grandma” Kelley, and Buddy “B.J.”, his loyal cat and best friend. Brian will truly be missed by his brother, William; sisters Donna and Paula; nieces Stephanie, Brittany, Desiree and Heather; nephews Nathan and Cody and all of his aunts and uncles. Services are private and entrusted to Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, Inc., Wilkes-Barre. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Brian’s name may be made to Luzerne County S.P.C.A., 524 East Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. A message to my baby brother: I’m going to miss watching storms with you. Thank you for everything you did for me. I’m not sure if I ever told you how much I appreciated it. I’m going to miss our vent sessions and Tasha and Cody will truly miss you. I love you. You were a great brother and a true friend. You will always be in my heart. Love, Donna Brian, you are my little brother and I will miss you with all my heart. Until we meet in the future, you will always be in my thoughts. Love Ya, Billy Our loving son, you were our baby boy and best friend. We relied upon you for so much. Who is going to tell me my hair is messy? We miss you. You will always be our baby boy. Bri, it’s mom. I’ll miss you most of all. Luv Ya.
