Brian D. Spahr

YORK- Brian D. Spahr, 51, died on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Barb A. (Krout) Spahr to whom he was married to for over 19 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. A visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Born on July 18, 1961 in York, he was a son of Joan (Forrey) Spahr and the late Clarence Spahr, Jr. Brian was a self employed Certified Electrician. Mr. Spahr was a member of the Shiloh American Legion Post 791 and the West York V.F.W. Post 8951. Brian enjoyed watching football and NASCAR, scuba diving and hunting. Along with his wife, Barb, Mr. Spahr is survived by a stepdaughter, Shayna King of Harrisburg; two brothers, Robert Spahr and his wife, Terry of York and Steven Spahr of York; two sisters, Judy Anderson and her husband, Lynn of York and Mary Lou Stouffer of York; a half brother, Clarence Spahr III and his wife, Sharon of Dillsburg; a half sister, Venessa Vahn and her husband, Paul of Mechanicsburg; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a half brother, David Spahr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity of choice in Brian’s memory.
