Brenda L. (Nonemaker) Adleblute

FELTON- Brenda Adleblute, 52, left us to be with her Father in Heaven on Thursday, June 20, 2013 from her home at Felton, PA., after a five year battle with colon cancer. Brenda is the spouse, companion, and soul mate of Greg Spurley of the same address for 14 years. She was born Brenda Lee Nunemaker on the first day of spring 1961 to Harry and Shirley Nunemaker near Hanover. Brenda’s dad passed 18 years ago. Brenda was a 1979 graduate of New Oxford High School. Her smile highlighted her outer beauty while her heart shined her inner beauty because of her compassion and love for all. A hello, a smile, a kind word, she had true concern for all. Brenda was a ray of sunshine wherever she went and to whomever she met. She is truly an Angel who flew to close to the ground. Brenda was an employee for about 22 years at Adleblute Inc., Abbottstown, PA., before starting her own little business named Just a Country Thing, located at The Shops at 16 N. Main St. Shrewsbury, PA. Brenda is survived by her son Zachary Adleblute of Dover, PA.; her daughter, Jessica Adleblute and their father, Charles (Pete) Adleblute of Dover, PA. Brenda also had three grandchildren, Jayda, Chase, and Abby whom she loves so very much. Brenda is also survived with sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Brenda loved the outdoors: spring, summer and fall, planting flowers, pulling weeds, building little stone hedges for her flowers plus watching and talking to the birds and critters in her flower beds. She was a gentle person but tough as nails. Everyone teased her about playing in the dirt and she loved it. Instead of flowers, you could use that money to help others in Brenda’s memory. Contributions to York Cancer Center, Patient Help Fund, , 25 Monument Drive, Suite 194, York, PA 17403. Though Brenda was fortunate not to need it, there are so many folks, who because of cancer costs can’t afford to buy needed groceries, pay utility bills and medicine, ect. This fund goes directly and only towards helping folks in need of assistance. Thank you. There will be no viewing by Brenda’s request but there will be a visitation on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 6:30-7:15 PM at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a Celebration of Life Tribute Service following at 7:15 PM with Reverend Margaret Smith officiating. Brenda and I want to say publically thank you to Dr. Amir Tabatabai and staff at Apple Hill Cancer Care for their kindness during Brenda’s treatments. Thank you also to Dr. Jonathon Efron of John Hopkins. Thank you to Dr. Bruce Frantz. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Memorial Hospital for their caring. And a very, very special thank you to Dr. Christopher Evans, DO, for his care, guidance and friendship for the past five years of Brenda’s treatment. We would also like to thank Heartland Hospice of York for their help and kindness.
