Brenda L. (Hildebrand) Lamotte

RED LION- Brenda L. (Hildebrand) LaMotte, 69, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. She was the wife of the late Roy L. LaMotte to whom she would have just celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with the Reverend Stephens Lytch officiating. A visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Born on June 30, 1949 in York, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Gloria (Hein) Hildebrand. She graduated from York Suburban High School and attended Shippensburg University. Brenda worked a few different jobs until she found the one she loved, a Kindergarten Aid in the Dallastown Area School District until 2013. Brenda loved babies and young kids which is what led her to be a cuddler in the NICU at York Hospital. She enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s sporting events, sleepovers with grandchildren and nieces and Harley road trips with the family. Mrs. LaMotte is survived by three sons, Michael LaMotte and wife, Christy of York, John LaMotte and wife, Ann of State College and Andy LaMotte and girlfriend, Marea of York; four grandchildren, Paige and Madelyn LaMotte of York and Owen and Molly LaMotte of State College; two brothers, Dave Hildebrand and wife, Peg of Red Lion and Bud Hildebrand and wife, Donna of Red Lion; sister, Marge Smith of York; mother in law, Helen LaMotte; and her “pretty girl”, Lucy.
