Brenda I. (Eveler) Saylor

RED LION - Brenda I. (Eveler) Saylor was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She entered into her heavenly home at age 80 on Friday, October 6, 2023 at her home with her family by her side. She was born to the late George L. Eveler, Sr. and Elsie (Barshinger) Eveler on February 22, 1943. She was an active member of Windsor Assembly of God church where she met and married her husband, Teddy L. Saylor. They married in 1966 and spent 57 wonderful years together.

Brenda was a 1960 graduate of Red Lion Area High School. After graduating, she worked as a legal secretary for Eveler & Eveler law firm for many years before retiring from Shrewsbury Assembly of God as the church secretary. She was a gifted piano player and served as pianist and organist for her church. In her free time, she loved to play Scrabble, spend time with family and friends, travel, shop and decorate her home. She was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family and her church. We will all miss her, but we take comfort knowing that we will be reunited with her again someday.

In addition to her husband, Brenda leaves behind two daughters, Saundra (Scott) Croyle of Pittsburgh, PA and Karen (Daniel) Muller of York, PA; four grandchildren, Emily (Logan) Brown of Sheboygan, WI, Caleb Muller of York, PA, Christopher Muller of York, PA, and Dylan Croyle of Pittsburgh, PA; one great grandson, Thaddeus Brown of Sheboygan, WI; a brother, Bruce (Mickie) Eveler of Windsor, PA; a sister, Carolyn (Jerry) Smith of Vineland, NJ and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her siblings George (Betty) Eveler, Jr., Phyllis Eveler, Robert Eveler, and Melvin Eveler.

A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Pastor Mark Fair officiating. Burial will follow at Windsor Cemetery. Viewings will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Shrewsbury Assembly of God, 234 N Main Street, Shrewsbury, PA 17356 and on Friday October 13, 2023 from 10:00AM – 11:00AM at the funeral home, prior to the service.
