Brandon Angelo Via, 22, died Thursday, December 10, 2009 in Norfolk, Virginia. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Viewings will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be held in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Baltimore, Maryland with full military honors provided by the United States Navy. Born May 1, 1987 in Baltimore, Maryland, he is a loving son of Paul A. Via, Joani M. Browning and his stepfather, Mick Browning Brandon graduated from Red Lion High School in 2005. In 2006 he enlisted in the United States Navy, he served three deployments to Iraq as a Petty Officer 3rd Class Aviation Helicopter Mechanic and was a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom/Aviation Warfare. He loved life to the fullest and was an organ donor. In addition to his parents, Brandon is also survived by, his loving soul mate, Ashlee N. Heiland, brother and best friend, Nicholas S. Via, sister, Hailey Via, stepsister, Kristin Brooks, maternal grandmother, Peggy Hall Wise, maternal grandfather, Frank Monfredo, paternal grandmother, Judith A. Thomson. He was also a nephew to David and Joan Hunter, Regina and Johnny Williams, cousin to, Joseph and Toni Monfredo, Darcie and Keith Via, Michael, Heather and Johnathon Williams and loved by numerous family and friends.
