Boyd A. Brungard

LOCK HAVEN - Boyd A. Brungard, 95 of Flemington passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the Gatehouse. He was born in East End on December 20, 1914 the son of Charles E. and Lovina K. (Burley) Brungard. He was married to the former Dorothy I. Winter who died in 1983. Boyd worked at the Silk Mill and retired from Piper Aircraft in 1978. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was an avid baseball fan, golfer, and hunter. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Boyd was a faithful democrat. He was a graduate of Mill High School and a member of the Moose. Surviving are two sons Bruce Charles (Susan Stokes) Brungard and Samuel B. (Nora) Brungard both of Flemington. One daughter Diane L. Brungard and her fianc矆rank Rosario of Tucson, AZ. Six grandchildren ( Jeffrey, Jennifer, Desiree, Lois, Melissa and Georgia) four great-grandchildren ( Elizabeth, Cayden, Jena Lee and Joshua. One sister Grace O'Donnell of Lock Haven. He was preceded in death by three brothers Ernest, Ralph and Harold and also two sisters Irene Mann and Thora Schrack. The funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Larry Race officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral chapel Monday from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Interment will be at Sunnyside Cemetery.
