Bonnie A. Eckenrode

YORK- Bonnie A. (Fortune) Eckenrode, 72, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 at her residence. She was the wife of the late John H. Eckenrode, Sr. A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York. The Reverend Kristine W. Hileman will be officiating at the service. Viewings will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York. Mrs. Eckenrode was born in Indianapolis, IN on November 19, 1944, the daughter of the late Calvin B. Fortune and Gloria M. (Adams) Rohrbaugh. She worked for the York Recreation Commission and for CVS Pharmacy in North York. Mrs. Eckenrode leaves a son, John H. Eckenrode, Jr. of York; four daughters: Patty E. Lutke of York, Sandy L. Ruth of Dover, Wendy S. Eckenrode of York, and Lynne A. Eckenrode of York; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, four brothers, Brian, Brett, Bart, and Billy Rohrbaugh; two sisters, Kenalee Simpson and Lori Rudisil; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Gina Marie and a sister, Melody.
