Boise P. Hall, Jr.

DILLSBURG-Boies P. (Penrose) Hall Jr., 89, died on Dec. 18, 2010, at the Middletown Home, Middletown, Pa. He was born Feb. 4, 1921, in Williamsport, Pa., to Boies P. and Hilda Weisenberger Hall. He attended Penn State and the Graduate Stewart Technical School, N.Y.C. He was married to Kathryn W. Hall on Dec. 12, 1945. He retired from Grit Publishing Co., where he was a proofreader, printer and copy editor. Boies served in the Army Air Corps, as a Sergeant in the 18th Repair Squadron during World War II. Boies was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Montoursville, Pa., the Williamsport and Lewisburg Garden Clubs and was a past master flower show judge. He served as worshipful master in 1968 at the Detrick Lamade Masonic Lodge No. 755 and a life member of the Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Williamsport. Surviving are his two sons, Jon (Maryanna) of Dillsburg and Boies (Judy) Hall of Reno, Nev.; two grandsons, Jon and Brian; and four great-grandsons. He is also survived by his sister, Beverly Arney, Centre Hall, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery in June, 2011. Arrangements are under the direction of Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, Pa.
