RED LION- Bobby L. Mohr, 81, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Shirley K. (Taylor) Mohr. The couple celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on February 25, 2017. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. His pastor, The Reverend David Tietje will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Red Lion Cemetery. Mr. Mohr was born in Saginaw on April 11, 1935, the son of Raymond and Beaulah (Aughenbaugh) Mohr. Mr. Mohr retired from General Machine Works in 1998. Mr. Mohr was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, where he previously served as a deacon. He was a member of York Rifle Range, Hickory Heights Golf Club and Foreman’s Club of York. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed Trout fishing and flounder fishing on his boat in Ocean City, MD. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, bowling, taking walks in Red Lion, and attending his grandsons’ baseball games. He served in the US Army in the Korean War. Mr. Mohr leaves a daughter, Terri L. Williams and her husband Lance of Dallastown; two grandchildren, Kyle and Brady Williams; a brother, Steven Mohr and his wife Debbie of York; a sister, Sarah Rudisill of York; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Mohr, Jr. and two sisters, Norma Spangler and Janie Dawson. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s United Church of Christ, 161 N. Main Street, Red Lion, PA 17356.
