Beverly J. (Dosch) Kottmyer

YORK- Beverly J. (Dosch) Kottmyer, 67, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011 at her residence. She was the loving companion of Walter E. “Moxie” Bowers, Jr. A celebration of life service will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2011 at Locust Grove United Church of Christ, 1035 Locust Grove Road, York with her pastor, the Rev. Rick Stuempfle officiating. Viewings will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion and 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born on July 28, 1943 in York, a daughter of C. Eugene and Dorothy Rebecca (Mittel) Dosch; she was a 1962 graduate of Red Lion High School. She was a former employee of York Excavating Company, Inc., for over 20 years until her retirement. Ms. Kottmyer was an active member of Locust Grove United Church of Christ, where she held many positions over the years. She was also a member of the VFW Post 7045 Kreutz Creek, Ladies Auxiliary. She was a volunteer wish granter with Make-A-Wish Foundation for over 20 years, and took great pride in helping others. She was a very loving person who cherished her family and large network of close friends, and will be remembered for living “A Wonderful Good Life.” Ms. Kottmyer is survived by two brothers, Darwin B. Dosch and wife, Judy of York, and Delbert E. Dosch and wife Debora of Jacksonville, FL; three nieces, T. Amanda Dosch of Falls Church, VA, Ashley T. Dosch of York, and Sarah Dosch of Knoxville, TN; a nephew Marc Dosch of Knoxville, TN. She was preceded in death by a son Robert “Bobby” Kottmyer.
