Beverly G. James

Beverly "Kitty" James POTTSVILLE-Beverly "Kitty" G. James, 67, of Pottsville died Thursday evening at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Ms. James was born June 1, 1941 the daughter of the late William H. and Frances B. Hess James. She graduated from Pottsville High School. She was the department director for the Schuylkill County Legal Service office. Ms. James was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. Ms. James is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Jill Dewald, February 3, 2008, a brother Richard James. Surviving is a devoted daughter Debra Murphy, Pottsville; and a daughter Vickie Lord, Minersville, three sisters Joann, wife of David Eckert, Pottsville; Carol James, Harrisburg, PA; and Bonnie James, Pottsville. Five grandchildren Melissa Scott, Minersville; Jennifer Richard, Matthew Dewald, and James Murphy all of Pottsville, and Jason Christ, Maryland. Seven Great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A service of celebration of life will be conducted at 7:30, on Sunday, October 26, 2008. James Murphy officiating. Family and friend may call from 6:00 P.M. till time of services, at the funeral home. The family would prefer contributions to be sent to either the America Cancer Society, 16 North Fourth Street, Minersville, PA,17954 or to Pinnacle Health Hospice, Suite 301, One Norwegian Plaza, Pottsville, PA 17901.
