YORK, PA- Beverly A. (Bronson) Kearns, 83, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at WellSpan York Hospital in York, PA. She was the wife of the late Michael J. “Mike” Kearns, Sr. to whom she was happily married for nearly 45 years until his death in 2009. Born and raised near Binghamton, NY she was the daughter of the late Carl and Estelle (Duval) Bronson. She graduated from Rider College, now Rider University in 1954 and thereafter was a long time Trenton area resident. Following graduation, she was employed with the Traffic Executive Association-Eastern Railroad, as Executive Assistant to the President at the prestigious address of One Park Avenue in New York City. Following her marriage in 1964, Bev was a devoted wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and friend. She returned to work in 1978 for the Hamilton Township Board of Education and retired from The McGraw-Hill companies in 1997 after 16 years of service. Bev enjoyed entertaining, and she and Mike were well known for planning and hosting an annual Christmas party and other celebrations throughout the year for their many friends and family. She also enjoyed summers vacationing at the Jersey Shore and many trips throughout the year with both family and friends. In her retirement, she enjoyed crafting and spending time together with her “grandpets” Logan, Misty, Charlie, Hoodoo, and Uba a.k.a Putti-Tat. Bev is survived by her three children, sons Michael and his wife, Tammy of Monroe, N.C. and Ted of Shrewsbury, Pa; and daughter, Cindy Sutton of Hamilton, NJ; three grandchildren Sarah, Joe and Emily; great granddaughter, Cheyenne; brother, Alvie Bronson and his wife, Eileen of Taylor, TX; and sister in law, Sandy Bronson. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert “Bob” Bronson. A graveside service will be held at Princeton Memorial Park in Robinsonville, NJ at a later date.
