Beverly A. (Briggs) Keesey

WINDSOR- Beverly A. (Briggs) Keesey, 86, died on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harold D. Keesey who died on May 24, 2004. The couple had been married for 48 years.


Born on May 14, 1938 in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Norman R. Briggs and the late Cleora (Longenberger) Herrick.


Beverly attended Red Lion schools and achieved her GED at the age of 54. She retired from Penn Laurel Girl Scout Council in 2007 after 13 years of service. She was a member of Springvale Church. Beverly loved to cook and made the best desserts including her specialty chocolate cake with peanut butter icing which she shared with many family members and friends. Bev enjoyed trips to the family cabin in Potter County with Harold.


Beverly is survived by her children Deborah J. (Keesey) Nelson of Clearville, PA, Brett H. Keesey and his wife, Kathy D. (Miller) of York, Michael S. Keesey and his wife, Shirley A. (Miller) of Wrightsville and Deirdre J. (Keesey) Dellinger and her husband, David of York; nine grandchildren, Ryan Heck, Erika Orwig, Amanda Yohe, Elizabeth Workinger, Benjamin Keesey, Daniel Dellinger, Devon Gordon, Mitchell Nelson and Drew Dellinger; ten great grandchildren, Hunter, Landyn, Bella, Lily, Grayden, Adelyn, Cedar, Elijah, Oliver and Ezra; two brothers; and five sisters. She was preceded in death by her son in law, Michael Nelson.


A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July, 19, 2024 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Pastor Larry Parlett officiating. Viewings will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday, both at the funeral home. Burial will be private for her children and grandchildren at Windsor Cemetery.
