Beulah M. (Shaull) Strayer, 90, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at her daughter’s residence in E. Hempfield Twp. She was the wife of the late Glenn E. Strayer. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11AM, Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Visitations will be held from 6-8PM, Tuesday and from 10-11AM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born February 20, 1927 in Red Lion, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and E. Elizabeth (Miller) Shaull. She was a loving and caring homemaker for her family. A dedicated member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church—Brogue, she was active in several church organizations including, teaching Sunday school, choir member, choir director, St. James Godfollowers and co-founded their Community Clothes Closet. She was also a member of the Red Lion AARP, Lutheran Church Women and volunteered at the Chanceford Community Center and as an elementary school tutor for the Red Lion School District. Mrs. Strayer is survived by two sons, Larry G. Strayer of Brogue and Leon C. Strayer and wife, Sharon of Brogue; two daughters, Lesa J. Whiteford of Hellam and Lori A. Zane and husband, Thomas of Lancaster; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; four brothers, Carl, Denton and Glenn Shaull all of Felton and Reed Shaull of Brogue; two sisters, Erma Eveler and Olive Brown both of Felton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Shaull; daughter-in-law, Darlene Strayer; daughter-in-law, Linda Fitzkee and infant great granddaughter, Faith Strayer. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
