Beulah (Burgard) Slaybaugh Wehler

YORK- Beulah (Burgard) Slaybaugh Wehler, 102, died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Normandie Ridge in York. She was the wife of the late Maurice L. Wehler and the late Bruce W. Slaybaugh, Sr. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 1-2 p.m. Chaplain David L. Brinker will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Paradise (Holtzschwamm) Union Cemetery in Thomasville. Mrs. Wehler was born in East Berlin on June 28, 1910, daughter of the late John and Lillian (Baker) Burgard. She was a Registered Nurse and she and her husband owned and operated the former M.L. Wehler, Inc. Interior Design. Mrs. Wehler was a member of the former Bethany United Church of Christ, now Faith United Church of Christ in York. Mrs. Wehler leaves a son, Bruce W. Slaybaugh, Jr. and his wife Loretta of York; a daughter, Suellen W. Hughes and her husband John of Lancaster; three grandchildren, Beth Ann Hines of Philadelphia, Jonathan Hughes of Colorado, and Zachary Hughes of Minnesota; and seven great grandchildren.
