Betty Marie (Wenck) Bronson

TOWANDA- Betty Marie (Wenck) Bronson, 73, of Towanda, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Towanda Memorial Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Thomas J. Bronson who passed away on December 4, 2002. The couple married on December 13, 1968 and had 33 happy years together. The funeral service and burial are private and at the convenience of the family. The arrangements are entrusted to the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home Inc., 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA. Betty was born on August 3, 1934 at the Old Mills Hospital in Towanda, PA. She was the daughter of the late John and Minnie (Huffsmith) Wenck. Betty was a Towanda High School graduate and went on to work for Ingersoll Rand Co. and the Robert Packer Hospital. Her true passion was being an Avon representative, which she was for 26 years before retiring. Betty loved her family, her job, and walking. She attended TOPS meeting, was a member of the Republican Party and was Methodist by faith. Betty is survived by her daughter Judy Roberts of Towanda, PA, her son Gary Roberts of Elmira, NY, her grandson Brad Lee Roberts, her sisters-in-law: Aileen Isbell of Columbia Crossroads, PA, and Mrs. Ted Wenck and family of Towanda, PA, brothers-in-law: Clarence Isbell of Columbia Crossroads, PA, and Harold W. Bronson of Columbia Crossroads, PA, along with several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas, and her son John Thomas Bronson who passed away in 1978.
