Betty M. (Rogers) Boyles

TROY-Betty M. (Rogers) Boyles, 90 of Sylvania, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Bradford County Manor. She was the loving wife of the late Curtis L. Boyles who passed away on November 15, 1994. The couple married April 21, 1945 and had 49 happy years together. Family and friends are invited to call from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at the Sylvania Church of Christ, 2486 Sylvania Road, Troy, PA. The memorial service to honor Betty’s life will at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 29th at the church with Pastor George Ogden officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Sylvania Cemetery. The Gerald W. Vickery Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street Troy, PA has been entrusted with the arrangements. Betty was born on May 10, 1923 in East Troy, PA daughter of the late Burrell and Nellie (Allen) Rogers. She was a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1941, and was an over 50 year member of the Sylvania Church of Christ. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Survivors include Betty’s children: William “Bill” Boyles of Wellsburg, NY, Richard “Dick” (Connie) Boyles, and Eilene (Emil) Tedesco, both of Sylvania, her nine grandchildren, her twenty three great grandchildren, her brother Paul Rogers of Sylvania, along with several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Curtis, her son Sheldon “Sonny” Boyles who passed away on December 10, 1970, her daughter-in-law Candy Boyles, her sister Ruth Crist, and her brother Raymond Rogers. In lieu of flowers memorials in Betty’s memory may be made to the Sylvania Church of Christ, 2486 Sylvania Road, Troy, PA.
