Betty M. Kennedy

COLUMBIA- Betty M. (Lightner) Kennedy, 93, formerly of York passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 at St. John’s Herr Estate of Columbia. She was the wife of the late Donald J. Kennedy and the late Lester H. Winters. A Celebration of Life tribute will be held at 11AM on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey, officiating at the service. A visitation will be held from 10-11AM prior to the service. Born May 14, 1922 in York, Betty was the daughter of the late Roy and Sarah (Gross) Lightner. Mrs. Kennedy is survived by a nephew, Jay Barnhart; two nieces, Kerry Mays and Penny Scancella; a granddaughter, Shelli Gannett; two great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
