RED LION- Betty L. (Rudy) Warner, 83, died Monday June 15, 2009 at York Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Harry D.E. Warner. The couple married on April 3, 1954. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m., Thursday June 18, 2009 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion. Reverend Margaret Smith will officiate. A viewing will be from 9-10 a.m. Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born May 11, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Amy (Messinger) Rudy. Betty worked as a secretary for the Autocraft Box Co. She was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church and the Red Lion Area Senior Center. She enjoyed knitting, loved her cats, and was an Avon representative. Betty volunteered many hours at Manor Care in Dallastown for numerous years until later residing there. Mrs. Warner is survived by a son, Jeffrey Warner of Red Lion; two daughters, Deb Burke and her husband David of Red Lion, and Susan Williams and her husband Chris of York; four grandchildren, Stephanie and Shelley Burke, and Kristy and Steven Miller; one great grandchild, Ellie; and one brother, Albert Rudy Jr. and his wife Mary of York. Preceding her in death were two sisters, Dorothy Kronk and Pauline Griffith. Memorial contributions may be made to the Red Lion Area Senior Center, 20-C Gotham Pl., Red Lion, Pa 17356.
