Betty L. (Waldroff) Ebersole

York- Betty L. (Waldroff) Ebersole, 77, died Saturday, February 2, 2008 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles H. Ebersole. A funeral service will be 1:30pm, Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, with her pastor, the Rev. Fred A. Walthour officiating. A viewing will be held from 12:30 to 1:30pm, Wednesday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Ebersole was born May 4, 1930 in Shamokin, the daughter of the late Clarence and Agnes (Estock) Waldroff. Graduating from Coal Township High in 1948, she went on to become a garment worker for various businesses throughout York County. Mrs. Ebersole was a member of Salem United Church of Christ. She was also a member of both the Dallastown chapter of TOPS, and the Spring Grove "Windy Hill" Senior Center. Mrs. Ebersole and her husband, Charles enjoyed traveling and camping, together. Mrs. Ebersole is survived by four children, Carol A. Boyer, and her husband, Donald of Seven Valleys, Margaret E. Avola of York Haven, Charles K. Ebersole of York, and Linda L. Markey, and her husband Darryl of York; eight grandchildren, Bobbi Jo, Jared, Elizabeth, Kenneth, Tara, Kellie, Adam, Justin; 9 great-grandchildren; one brother Clarence, three sisters Virginia, Nancy and Bernice; and several nieces and nephews.
