Betty L. (Robbins) Heddings

DANVILLE- Betty L. (Robbins) Heddings, 81, of Danville passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Friday, September 19, 2008. Betty was born on January 31, 1927 in White Deer and was a daughter of the late Wilston and Cora (Prowant) Robbins. She was the widow of the late Graydon L. "Dick" Heddings who passed away on April 21, 1999. The couple married on October 27, 1945 and had 53 happy years together. Betty loved children and was a babysitter to several. She was also a homemaker, but more than that Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Betty was Protestant by faith and attended Chillisquaque Presbyterian Church in Potts Grove, PA. Betty is survived by her daughter Alice Yeager of Danville, PA; five grandchildren, Randy (Selina) Heddings of Danville, PA, Deneen Moore of Mansfield, PA, Robert (Judy) Pequignot of Danville, PA, Kevin "Scott" (Denise) Yeager of West Windsor, NY, and Tammy Yoder of Middleburg, PA; nine great grandchildren; nine brothers, Henry Robbins of Danville, PA, Raymond Robbins of Lewisburg, PA, Franklin Robbins of Lewisburg, PA, Jack Robbins of Danville, PA, Samuel Robbins of Milton, PA, Lee Robbins of Turbotville, PA, Larry Robbins of Dewart, PA, Howard Robbins of Danville, PA, and James Robbins of Milton, PA; two sisters Grace Meese of Milton, PA and Zona Walls of New Columbia, PA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Betty was preceded in death by her son Graydon A. "Butch" Heddings and five brothers, Guy, Paul, Charles, Albert, and Walter Robbins. Family and friends are welcome to gather from viewing 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday night, September 23, 2008 and again from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning, September 24th at The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton, PA. The funeral service to honor Betty's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with burial following in Harmony Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Betty's name to the Chillisquaque Presbyterian Church, Rte 642 Main St. Potts Grove, PA 17865 or to Geisinger Hospice, 109 Woodbine Lane, Danville, PA 17821.
