Betty J. Maul

Betty J. (Foust) Maul, 94, formerly of Dover, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Rest Haven in York. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Maul who passed away February 8, 2008. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 28, 2016 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 9 N. Main Street, Dover, with The Reverend John M. Woods officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in York. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born September 8, 1922 in Loganville, she was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Tillie E. (McAbee) Foust. Betty was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ, Dover. She was awarded volunteer of the year at the Dover Fire Company Ladies’ Auxiliary, where she helped to prepare meals and banquets. Betty enjoyed music and dancing, even on roller skates with Bob. She had a great sense of humor, lived her life to the fullest, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her sister, Marguerite (Peggy) Kornbau, two nieces; Kathy Kornbau, and Beth Kornbau and husband, Jeff; several nephews, nieces and cousins. In addition to her beloved husband, Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Stauffer and husband, Luther; a brother, Rodger, and two sisters; Millie and Gloria. Betty’s family wants to thank Tes Deaner for her love and care and the many friends who were always there for her.
