Betty "Betsy" Myers

YORK- Betty “Betsy” Myers, 93, of West Manchester Township, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at Country Meadows Trolly Rd. in York. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 10-10:30 a.m. The service will be webcast live and can be viewed by searching Betty’s obituary at HeffnerCare.com Burial will be private in Fairview Cemetery in Mercersburg, PA. Miss Myers was born in Mercersburg on October 20, 1928; the daughter of the late J. Raymond and Marian (Selser) Myers. When she resided in Mercersburg, she was an active member of Upper West Conococheague Presbyterian Church, where she also served as an elder. She received her undergraduate’s degree from Lebanon Valley College in Music Education. She taught music for the Tuscarora School District before earning her Master’s degree from Shippensburg University. She then went on to work as a guidance counselor for Tuscarora High School until her retirement. She leaves her beloved dog, Matty. Miss Myers leaves a niece, Laura Hess and her husband Alan of Morgantown, WV; a nephew, John Levisky, III of York; as well as great nieces and nephews, Thomas, Jonathan, Samuel, and Alea. She was preceded in death by a sister Cecelia Levisky and her husband Jack.
