Betty A. (Sentz) Hake

WINTERSTOWN - Betty A. (Sentz) Hake, 69, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at her residence. She was the wife of Robert L. Hake. The couple celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on March 8th. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a visitation from 12-1:30p.m. The Reverend Stephany S. Sechrist will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Lebanon Lutheran Cemetery in Felton Mrs. Hake was born in Felton on March 10, 1942, daughter of the late Marvin and Mabel (Heaps) Sentz. She was a singer from the late 1950’s through the 1980’s and enjoyed country music. She was Office Manager of the family run business, Hake’s Exxon. As a classic car enthusiast, Betty along with her husband traveled to 49 states and parts of Canada. She attended Red Lion High School. She was a member of the former Felton Civic Association, as well as a former Brownie Leader. She also volunteered with Welcome Wagon and was a devoted Christian. The things she enjoyed, more than anything, was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mrs. Hake leaves two sons, Randy L. Hake and his wife Gail of Red Lion, Rodney L. Hake and his wife, Sherree of Red Lion; a daughter, Beth A. Innerst and her husband Daniel of Dallastown; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Vernie Bennett of Crossroads; sister-in-law, Nazimova Hake of Brogue; and a brother-in-law, David Hake and his wife Linda of Dallastown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
