Betsy A. Combs

RED LION-Betsy A. (Smith) Combs, 76, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Manorcare Health Services, in Dallastown. She was the daughter of the late Carlton and Alma (Heffner) Smith. Betsy was employed for many years at the former Nathan Hale Furniture Factory in Red Lion. She enjoyed going to auctions and buying and selling antiques. She loved attending Felton Days, as she grew up a Felton girl. She loved Elvis and her “old time rock and roll”. But most of all she loved her family and spending time with them. She leaves to cherish her memory, her longtime companion Bill Eveler; her son Dwayne Combs and his wife Alaina of Red Lion; three step-granddaughters, Chelsea, Emilee, and Melanie; two step-great grandsons, Malachi and Thaddeus; two sisters, Joann Prall and Diane Knaper; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Jerry and her sister, Patty. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a visitation from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Certified Celebrant Debe Snyder will be officiating at the service.
