Beth N. Ney

YORK—Beth Nain (Levengood) Ney, passed away peacefully at York Hospital at the age of 76. Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Anna Levengood and her sister Sharon Eberly. Beth is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jeffrey and their daughter, Laurie Ney Silfies (Timothy) of Pittsburgh; seven siblings, Ethan Levengood of Lititz, John Levengood of Ashville, NC, Brian Levengood of Broken Arrow, OK, Marcia Kocher, Hope Kocher and Priscilla Hassan all of Lebanon and Cindy Levengood of Shaefferstown and 19 nieces and nephews. Beth was born in Londonderry Township on November 17, 1944. She graduated from ELCO High School in 1962. She worked as a medical secretary in Pottstown and in Johnstown before relocating to Dover. Prior to her retirement, she was especially proud of the work she did as a job developer at York Technical Institute. Beth loved the arts. She enjoyed the theater and a variety of music and would frequent concerts in the park and local parades. She was an avid photographer and won prizes for many photos published in the local paper, including one that was part of a national tour by Kodak. She loved her siblings and other family members. She was a proud “band mom” and Girl Scout leader and was always involved in supporting her daughter’s and husband’s activities. A private family Celebration of Life Tribute will be held at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Burial will also be private at the convenience of the family.
