Berton O. Brown

Troy, PA - Berton O. Brown, Age 85, formerly of Millerton, PA passed away Friday, April 30, 2010 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA following a lengthy illness. Berton was born August 24, 1924 in Springfield Township, PA son of the late Irvin and Marjorie (Williams) Brown. He was a farmer for 20 years and then employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Highways as a Forman prior to retirement. Berton enjoyed the times that he spent with his loving family especially his grandchildren who he loved to play board games with and like giving them rides on his bulldozer. Berton enjoyed the outdoors and was most happy when he was fishing. Survivors include his two daughters, Sally McClintic of Troy, PA and Patricia May of Gillett, PA four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren a brother Russell Brown of Cortland, NY, two sisters, Lillian Wells of Troy, PA and Geraldine Crout of Canton, PA, several nieces and nephews. His parents and a sister Evelyn Seymour predeceased Berton. Services are under the direction of the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA.
