Bertha R. (Watson) Prosper

DALMATIA - Bertha Ruth (Watson) Prosper, 79, died on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at her residence. Bertha was born on June 11, 1929 in Lewis, Delaware and was a daughter of the late Jesse Herr and Carrie Ida (Patterson) Watson. She was a model in the late 1940's and also worked as a waitress. She was married to the late Peter A. Prosper, Sr. Bertha is survived by two sons; Peter A. Prosper, Jr. and Anthony Prosper, both of Philadelphia, four grandchildren, nephew David Peterson and his wife Emily whom she resided with and two nieces. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son; Matthew Prosper, one daughter; Melody Prosper-McHugh, one sister; Ida Corinne Peterson, one brother; David Samuel Watson and one step brother; Tom. In keeping with Bertha's wishes, the services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton, PA 17847.
