Bertha M. (Albright) Huff

LEWISBURG - Bertha M. (Albright) Huff, 91, formerly of Milton, died Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. She was born on March 17, 1926 in White Deer and was the daughter of the late Harry M. and Esther (Schell) Albright. On April 20, 1946 Bertha married the late Merrill Huff, Jr. and they celebrated 42 years of marriage together until his death on November 27, 1988. Bertha and Jim lived in Milton their entire marriage. Bertha was a graduate of Watsontown High School Class of 1945. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Milton and was a volunteer at Evangelical Community Hospital where she earned her 7000-hour volunteer pin. She enjoyed traveling, camping all over the country in a tent, reading, quilting, sewing, bowling with her husband and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Bertha is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Harry A. and Faith Huff of Lewisburg, one daughter and son-in-law; Yolanda H. and Ronald Ruth of Montoursville, three grandchildren; Jacob A. and Jessica Huff, Megan E. Ruth and her companion Jade Badger and Sarah M. and Justin McIntyre, four great grandchildren; Kaleb and Kaeden Badger and Lillian and Parker McIntyre, one brother and sister-in-law; Dale and Shirley Albright of Florida and one sister Freda Albright of Watsontown. In addition to her parents and husband, Bertha was preceded in death by one brother; Elwood Albright and six sisters; Isabel Nevel, Janet Welliver, Elnor LaForm, Doris Baumgartner, Phyllis Eisley and Amy Dreisbach. In leiu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, 18 Center Street, Milton, PA 17847 or to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third Street, Williamsport, PA 17701 A public viewing will be held from 10:00 – 11:00, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton followed by the funeral at 11:00 with Pastor William McNeil of Bethany United Methodist Church, Milton officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, New Columbia.
