Bertha F. (Grissinger) Krone

LEWISBERRY - Bertha F. (Grissinger) Krone, 81, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Church of God Home in Carlisle. She was the wife of Earl M. Krone to whom she was married for 65 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Fairview Bethel Church of God, 800 Old Forge Road, New Cumberland with her pastor, The Rev. Eugene Hockenberry officiating. A viewing will be held from 10-11:00 AM Saturday at the Church. Burial will be held in Emanuel Cemetery in Lewisberry. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Born August 12, 1929 in Good Hope Mill, Cumberland Co. a daughter of the late Floyd and Ruth (Humes) Grissinger, she retired from Appleton Papers in 1991. Mrs. Krone was a member of Fairview Bethel Church of God for more than 40 years; Lisburn Fire Co., Ladies Auxiliary; and had previously taught Sunday school and Bible School at Lisburn Church of God. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Krone is survived by a son, Robert E. and wife Linda Krone of Lewisberry; three daughters, Mary A. and husband A. Mervyn Wunderlich of Spring Grove, Sharon K. and husband George Shaffer of Manchester, and Donna J. and husband Donald Feliksik of Lewisberry; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; a brother, Fred Grissinger of Camp Hill; and two sisters, Ruth Walters of Bowmansdale and Edna Barricks of Carlisle. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Wert; a granddaughter, Debra Krone; a great granddaughter, Emily Glexiner; and a brother, Floyd Grissinger, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairview Bethel COG, c/o Memorial Fund, 800 Old Forge Rd., New Cumberland, PA 17070.
