Bertha Ann (Crawshaw) Crowe

Lewisberry—Bertha Ann (Crawshaw) Crowe, 74, passed peacefully to the presence of our Lord, Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Golden Living at Blue Ridge. She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Crowe Jr. A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1185 Summer Hill Rd., Auburn, with her pastor, the Rev. Kathy Ash-Flasher, officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 W. Front Street, Lewisberry, Pa 17339, is in charge of arrangements. Born January 27, 1935 in St. Clair, she was a daughter of the late William J. Honicker Jr., and Alice A. (Thomas) Honicker. She graduated from St. Clair High School in 1952. She was dedicated homemaker for her family and also worked as a seamstress with various companies throughout Schuylkill County. A member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Auburn, she participated in the church choir and also helped with the church's food pantry. She was also a member of Summitt Station Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and assisted with Meals on Wheels in Schuylkill County. Mrs. Crowe is survived by three sons, Joseph L. Crowe III and his wife Jamie of Pine Grove, William J. Crowe and his wife Lynly of Summitt Station, and Earl R. Crowe and his wife Mildred of Lewisberry, nine grandchildren, Carissa, Joshua, Matthew, Kelsey, Amanda, Maria, Anthony, Allen, and Kelly. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Crowe's honor to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Good Samaritan Fund, 1185 Summer Hill Rd, Auburn, Pa 17922.
