COGAN STATION - Bernice I. (Adams) Ebert, 83, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Sycamore Manor, Montoursville. Bernice was born in Williamsport on November 3, 1928 and was the daughter of the late William and Mae Beatrice (Johnson) Adams. She was married to Richard C. Ebert on July 27, 1946, who survives. The couple has been married for 65 years. Bernice had retired in 1990 from West Fourth Manufacturing. She was a member of Quiggleville United Methodist Church. She was known for her giving spirit, great sense of humor and Sunday dinners. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law; Sharon Dawes of Cogan Station, Susan Morris of Freeport, Bahamas and Alice and Mike Helminiak of Williamsport, three grandchildren; Brandon Emig, Angie Troutman and Adam Morris, three great-grandchildren; Avery Troutman, Blake Troutman and Molly Emig, four brothers; Harold “Mac” Adams of Montoursville, Kenneth Adams of Cogan Station, Franklin “Ricky” Adams and Wayne Adams, both of Williamsport and one sister; Evelyn Bachman of Cogan Station. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister; Marqueen Sechler and one brother; Blake Adams. There will be a public viewing from 12 to 1 Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport where the funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. The Reverend Dr. Robert Basom will officiate the services. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 East Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 57 North Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
