WELLSBURG- Bernice (Chamberlain) Lowman, 86, of Bentley Creek, PA, went to be with her Lord in Heaven on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Albert L. Lowman who passed away on January 27, 1994. The couple married in 1945and had 49 happy years together. Bernice was born on December 27, 1925 in Sayre, PA daughter of the late Manley and Mary Elizabeth (Burnham) Chamberlain. She was a Press Operator for White Hall Printing and was a member of the Bentley Creek Wesleyan Church. Bernice enjoyed playing board games, gardening, and spending time with her family. Bernice is survived by her daughter Connie (Daniel ) Hanrahan and son Bruce (Gail) Lowman, both of Bentley Creek, PA, five grandchildren, several great grandchildren, her brother Afton (Bernice) Chamberlain of Gillett, her sisters Violet Hill of Sayre, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert, her son Allen Lowman who passed away in 1963 and her sister Marie Sabin. The memorial service to honor Bernice’s life will be held at 12:30 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Bentley Creek Wesleyan Church 13255 Berwick Turnpike, Gillett, PA. with her pastor, Rev. Robert Wuethrich officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of Bernice’s family in Bentley Creek Cemetery. Her funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. Memorial contributions may be made in Bernice’s memory to the Bentley Creek Wesleyan Church 13255 Berwick Tpke Gillett, PA 16925-9119.
