Bernard J. O'Reilly

POTTSVILLE- Bernard J. O’Reilly, 73, of Pottsville , passed away Monday Morning at his home. Born in Coaldale, PA on May 15, 1939, he was a son of the late Thomas and Catherine Duffy O’Reilly. Bernard was a 1957 Graduate of Nativity BVM High School, Pottsville and attended Syracuse University where he studied Russian. He was an Air Force Veteran having served as a Linguist Intelligence Officer. He retired as a master sergeant In the Air Force after 30 years of service for our country. Bernard was a member of Saint Patrick’s Church, member of A.O.H. JFK Division #2 and he was a Member of the Catholic War Vets, all of Pottsville. In addition to his parents, Bernard was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Linda O’Reilly. Bernard is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Sang Sun O’Reilly, of Pottsville; his three sisters, Anne Wolfe, wife of Delroy, of Valley View, Kathleen McGowan, wife of Hugh McGowan, of Port Carbon and Jane O’Reilly, of Pottsville; his four brothers, Thomas B. O’Reilly, of Pottsville, William J. O’Reilly, of Minersville, John A. O’Reilly, of Pottsville and Edward O’Reilly, husband of Lesle, of Pottsville; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 12:00 noon in Saint Patrick’s Church, 4th & Mahantongo Sts., Pottsville. Father Robert J. Reiley will be officiating the Mass. Family and friends may call on Thursday morning from 10:30 AM until time of Mass in Saint Patrick’s Church. Interment with Military Honors will be held in Saint John the Baptist Cemetery, 20th and Mahantongo Sts., Pottsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Saint Patrick’s Church, 319 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, PA 17901.
