Bernard D. Levisky

YORK – Bernard D. “Ben” Levisky, 82, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at his home. He was the husband of Carolyn J. (Wentz) Levisky to whom she was married for 61 years.

Mr. Levisky was born in Plains, PA on January 10, 1940. He was the son of the late John S. and Mary A. (Prebola) Levisky. Ben was a 1957 graduate of Dover Area High School and worked for Teledyne McKay and New York Wire Company. He was an avid sportsman of hunting, fishing, and golfing. He was a great husband, a great father, best friend, a loving grandparent and mentor. He instilled the love of the outdoors, hunting, and sports in his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Levisky is survived by his daughter, Sherri L. Jennings and her husband Dave; his faithful dog companion, Maya; a brother, Joe Levisky and his wife Maureen; three grandchildren, Justin, Tyler, and Emily; two great grandchildren, Oliver and Jamison; and his brother-in-law, William “Bill” Wentz and his wife Cheryl. He was preceded in death by a brother, John “Jack” Levisky.

A graveside service will be held privately at Suburban Memorial Gardens in Dover. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is assisting the family with arrangements.
