Beatrice Taylor

TROY - Beatrice Taylor, Age 77 formerly of Columbia Cross Roads, passed away Wednesday January 4, 2012 at Darway Nursing Facility. She was born April 11, 1934 in Columbia Cross Roads daughter of the late Ivan and Mildred Taylor. She was one of six children. Bea resided in Laurelton Center until she was able to enter a North Penn Group Home in Tioga County and worked at Partners in Progress in Mansfield. Bea later transferred to a Martha Lloyd Group Home in Blossburg and she attended the Adult Learning Center in Mansfield. She spent her later years at the Darway Nursing Facility in Estelle, PA where she made many friends among her peers and staff there. Bea enjoyed drawing pictures and loved to make up stories. Survivors include her sister Clara B. Taylor of Blossburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Howard and Larry and sisters Elsie and Edna. Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 AM on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1093 West Main Street, Troy, PA. Her service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 11 AM with Reverend Richard Noggle officiating. Interment will be in Arbon Cemetery, Blossburg.
