Beatrice R. [Williams] Grim

YORK - Beatrice R. [Williams] Grim, 88, of York died Friday, August 10, 2007 at Normandie Ridge. She was the wife of Clair R. Grim to whom she was married for 66 years on August 9, 2007. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Rev. Craig A. Newton and Rev. Norman Spangler, III officiating. Entombment will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Viewings will be held from 7-9:00 PM Monday with an Order of Eastern Star Service at 8:30 PM Monday evening and from 1-2:00 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Chapel. Born March 12, 1919 in Mahanoy City, Schuylkill Co.; a daughter of the late William G. and Lilly Beatrice [Prestwood] Williams, she was a 1937 graduate of Slatington High School and earned her Education Degree from Kutztown Teachers College. She began her elementary school teaching career at Newberry Twp. Grade School in 1940 and then moved to the Mount Wolf School from 1941 to 1948. In 1948, Mrs. Grim moved to York Suburban School District where she taught until her retirement in 1974. She was a life member of National Teachers Assoc. and was a member of her locally affiliated teachers associations. She also served as a past Matron with Order of Eastern Star, Chapter #169. Along with her husband, Mrs. Grim was active with York Twinning Association. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Grim is survived by six nieces and nephews, Marsha Miller of Langhorne, PA, Bruce Williams of Levittown, PA, Samuel Wise of Dallastown, Carol Larimer of Columbus, OH, Norman Grimm of Manassas, VA, and Darlene Shearer of York; 14 great nieces and nephews; and nine great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Williams; and two sisters, Lillian Seibel and Phyllis E. Williams. Memorial contributions may be made to Otterbein U.M. Church, 301 W.
