TROY- Beatrice E. (La Mont) Dunbar, 86, of East Troy, PA passed away on Monday, November 19, 2007 at the Bradford County Manor. She was the loving wife of Frank Dunbar, Jr., who passed away on April 3, 2003. Frank and Beatrice were united in marriage on August 5, 1941. They had been happily married for 61 years at the time of his passing. Family and friends are invited to call from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at the East Troy Baptist Church, Rt. 6, East Troy, PA. Funeral services will then be held at 11:00 AM with her pastor, Reverend Gary Zuber officiating. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Troy, PA. The Vickery Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA, has been entrusted by the family for the arrangements. Beatrice was born in Troy on March 30, 1921 to Howard and Ida (Peckham) La Mont. She was a graduate of Troy High school in 1939 and went on to attend Mansfield University. She was a homemaker, loving wife and mother. She was a faithful member of the East Troy Baptist Church for 40 years, where she served by teaching Sunday School and Bible School. Beatrice was a member of American Baptist Women and also participated in White Cross. In addition, Beatrice was a member of the Grange in Troy. Beatrice is survived by her son Gerald (Marjorie) Dunbar of Troy, PA, daughters; Nancy (Robert) Ward of Deland, Florida, Diane (John) Gummoe of Webster, New York, grandchildren: Brian (Norma Jean) Ward, Susan Ward, Brenda (Darryl) Holdren, Jennifer Dunbar, Benjamin Gummoe, Sarah Gummoe, and Kathryn Gummoe, great grandchildren; Jessica Cook, Robert Cook, Marty Holdren, Dean Holdren, and D.J. Holdren, sister; Margaret McClelland, Brother-in-law, Pete Goodrich and many nieces and nephews. Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Ida (Peckham) LaMont, her husband, Frank Dunbar, Jr. and her brother Lawrence La Mont. The family suggests memorials and contributions be made to the East Troy Baptist Church, P.O. Box 21 Troy, PA 16947.
