Lock Haven - Beatrice E.(Rauch) Kinney, age 87, formerly of Cross Fork, died at Susque-View Home on Weds. Aug. 1, 2007. She was born in Lock Haven on Feb. 12, 1920, daughter of the late Ellis R. and Margaret (Zerbe) Rauch. Beatrice graduated from Renovo High School in 1936, was a life member of the Seventh Street United Methodist Church in Renovo, attended Williamsport School of Commerce, served as the secretary for the Dept. of Forests and Water for several years, and owned and operated Kinney's Store, bar, and cabin with her husband. Being very active in her community, her activities included the Elk's Auxiliary, past Renovo School Board member, past member and Worthy Matron of Rowena Chapter O.E.S., past Regent of Daughters of the American Revolution, 66 year member of the Pleasant Valley Grange, Order of Amaranth, White Shrine of Jerusalem in Williamsport, tax collector in Stewardson Township, membership secretary for Kettle Creek Hose Co., and was an avid Bingo player. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Harry "Mountain Man" Kinney in March of 1991. also preceding was her daughter: Patricia Friese, brother: Bud, and sisters: Helen, Thelma, and Mary.. surviving is her son: Jeffrey (Brenda) Kinney of Cross Fork, daughters: Mary (William) Arnold of Hammersley Fork, Debra Kinney of Millerstown, Pa. and Kimberley (William) Fickel of Carlisle, Pa., and special friend Tom Labant of South Carolina. Also surviving are grandchildren: Jennifer, Casey, Elizabeth, Megan, Lucas, Tom, Chloe, Colton. and Maggie, great grandchildren: Kayden and Kyler, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the North Bend United Methodist Church at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2007 with Pastor James Wooster officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 3-5 p.m. Saturday. Private interment services will take place in Rest Haven Memorial Park at the family's convenience.
