York—Baron L. Dietz, 65, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Rosewood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Schuylkill Haven. He was the 18year life partner of Albert Fraschetti. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born March 29, 1952 in Windsor, he was a son of Malon and Margaret (Oberdorff) Dietz. He was employed with American Chain & Cable Company for 30 years until his retirement in 2000. Following his retirement he and Albert became the small business owners of Partners and Friends Antique Center in Columbia, which they operated until 2009. A member of the Golden Glow of Christmas Past and the local Christmas Group—The Kringles, he also had an extensive antique Christmas collection and was well versed in everything vintage Christmas. He was also extremely knowledgeable about Early American Pattern Glass and vintage lighting and furniture. Mr. Dietz is also survived by one daughter, Pamela Robertson and husband, Shawn of Michigan; two grandchildren, Elise and Holly and one brother, Dean Dietz.
