Barbara L. (Parker) Carl

NEW COLUMBIA - Barbara L Carl, 77, went home to our Lord and was reunited with her loving husband, “Bud” on July 21, 2017 at the Watsontown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Watsontown. She was born on February 23, 1940 at the family home in Milton to the late Charles Lee and June (Spotts) Parker. On June 29, 1963 Barbara married the late Roland H. “Bud” Carl, Jr. and they celebrated 45 years of marriage together until his death on May 26, 2009. Barbara was a graduate of the Milton Area High School. Prior to being the loving mother of 5 children she worked at the shoe factory in Milton. After all of her children were in school, she reentered the workforce at JPM, which is from where she retired. Barbara was an avid bingo player, and tried to help those in need however she could. She is survived by: one son; Michael L Carl and his fiancé Tanya, four daughters; Angela J Donlin and her husband Edward, Elizabeth S. Schleig, and her significant other, Burton, Rebecca A Kurtz and her fiancé Kevin, Patty E Hoey and her fiancé Elmer, fifteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one brother; Lee Parker and two sisters; Linda Noll and Nancy Hendricks, In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in death by one brother; Charles “Chuck” Parker. A public viewing will be held from 10:00 – 11:00a.m., Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front Street, Milton followed by the funeral at 11:00. Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
