Barbara Jeanne Hoover

YORK- Barbara Jeanne (McKaig) Hoover, 63, died on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Manor Care North. She was the wife of Kenneth R. Hoover. The couple wed on May 30, 1976 Services for Mrs. Hoover are private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on December 7, 1953 in Cape May Courthouse, NJ, she was a daughter of Otis McKaig of South Dennis Twp., NJ and the late Doris (Dean) McKaig. Barbara was an assembler at Harley Davidson. Mrs. Hoover enjoyed reading her books and was delighted by her grandchildren and a blessing to all that knew her. Mrs. Hoover is survived by two sons, Ben Hoover and wife, Amanda of York and Richard Hoover and wife, Pam of Dover; five grandchildren, Annabelle, Isaac, Seth, Macarios and Charlotte; one brother, Steve McKaig and wife, Lucy of Cape May, NJ; two sisters, Susan Schanz of Cape May, NJ and Kathy Linares of Springfield, VA; and her stepmother, Amanda McKaig of South Dennis Twp., NJ. She was preceded in death by her brother in law, Jay Schanz.
