Barbara J. (Barrowcliff) Jones Hagar

TROY- Barbara J. (Barrowcliff) Jones Hagar, 77, of Troy, PA, formerly of Mansfield, PA passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Troy Community Hospital surrounded by her family. Barbara was born on July 28, 1929 in Sayre, PA. She was the daughter of the late Cyreno E. and Doris A. (Foreman) Barrowcliff. Barbara was a homemaker, but more than a homemaker she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to play cards and board games, put puzzles together, and sew, crochet, and embroider. She also had a love for red cardinals and her angel collection. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, where she a member of the church choir. She loved to sing in their Christmas Cantatas and in Sunday morning worship. Barbara's family was the love of her life. They include her daughter Lucinda J. Ammerman of Troy, PA, her sons: Lonnie R. (Rose) Jones, Sr. of Troy, PA, Robert A. (Darlene) Jones, Sr. of Millington, TN, Dale R. Colleen) Jones of Mainesburg, PA, and William E. (Penny) Jones of Atoka, TN, sixteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, sisters Shirley (Harold) Canfield of Laceyville, and Nancy (Paul) Parsons of Gilford, NY, brother David (Beverly) Barrowcliff of Sayre, PA, sister-in-law Marion Barrowcliff of California, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Lloyd R. Jones, her second husband Fordyce J. Hagar, her son Roger G. Jones, her grandson Randy M. Ammerman, her brother Harvey Barrowcliff, and her sister Phyllis Vanderpool. Family and friends are welcome to call from 6:00-7:00 P.M. on Friday night, May 25, 2007 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home Inc., 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with her pastor, Rev. Steven Neff officiating. The graveside committal service will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 26, 2007 in Lacey Street Cemetery, Laceyville, PA.
